Home Care Provider Sentenced For Medicaid Fraud

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The owner of a Brooklyn Park home health care agency has been sentenced to two years in prison for defrauding the Medicaid program of more than $650,000.

Fifty-two-year-old John Momoh admitted submitting false claims from May 2007 to March 2008, billing Medicaid for personal care services. Momoh pleaded guilty to one count of health care fraud as part of a plea agreement.

Momoh owned Hopecare Services, Inc. He was sentenced Monday by federal Judge Paul Magnuson in St. Paul.
