Minn. Duluth beats Nebraska-Omaha 6-2

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — J.T. Brown scored three goals to lead top-ranked Minnesota Duluth to a 6-2 Western Collegiate Hockey Association win over Nebraska-Omaha on Friday.

Brown scored 28 seconds apart in the third period to record the hat trick for the Bulldogs (15-3-3, 11-2-2), who extended their unbeaten streak to 17 games. He also had an assist.

Dan DeLisle also scored for UMD. Senior center Jack Connolly had an assist with less than two minutes to play to extend his point-scoring streak to 19 games, three shy of the team record.

After falling behind early, Nebraska-Omaha (10-9-4, 7-5-3) tied the game 2-2 on goals by Brock Montpetit and Matt White in the second period.

The Bulldogs outshot UNO 40-24. Mavericks goals John Faulkner made 34 saves, while UMD's Kenny Reiter stopped 22 shots.
