MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Too much salt can be bad for your health and you might be surprised by the foods you’re getting it from.

In a new list of saltiest foods, the CDC puts bread and rolls at the top.

They say they’re not actually saltier than other foods — people just tend to eat more.

Other top salty culprits include cold cuts, pizza and even chicken.

Health officials say salt should be limited to about a teaspoon a day but most Americans eat more.
