UNLESS YOUR BICYCLE IS MADE FROM TREES AND ROCKS, YOU BIKE ON NON PAVED SURFACES AND YOU BIKE BASICALLY NAKED -UM- YES YOU ALSO POLLUTE. 50% OF THE BIKE IS OIL BASED. 80% OF THE ASPHALT ROAD YOU RIDE ON IS OIL BASED. I AM QUITE SURE THAT YOU’RE BIKE COSTUME IS 99% OIL BASED. ALL OF THE FACTORIES THAT MAKE THESE ALL POLLUTE TO SOME DEGREE AND YOU THE COMSUMER PROMOTE THIS.

Time- you are a idiot….and easily baited idiot I might add

It’s the middle of effing February…get a car!

    • Yuri Nator

It’s the warmest February on record, get out of your car.

      • Roger

You need to loosen up you gay boy bike-riding tights, I think it is cutting off the circulation to your pea sized brain!

  • Tim

What a ridiculous argument. Production of Autos consume far more resources than bikes and the car only last 10 years at the most. A bike can last a lifetime and the roads are already (for cars) there. We all have to wear cloths in this society and most importantly bikes do not consume millions of gallons of fossil fuel daily. The most dangerous thing on the road (the car) should have the highest degree of responsibility. Think biking in the winter is unsafe? No, driving your car and getting no exercise is far more haserdous to your health. Lets hope this bicyclist heals to ride again. Stop hating Bikes and share the road.
Life is short, love not hate.

    • scott

NO I don’t hate bikers, run from exercise nor hog the road. Your earlier comment (that has been removed) ranted your anti car movement while putting yourself on a pedestal that biking will save the environment. I agree “Lets hope this bicyclist heals to ride again” and to who ever was at fault learns from this and corrects their habit.

    • Roger

“The most dangerous thing on the road (the car)”
Really? Why don’t you rephrase that to “the only thing that belongs on the road” or “the only thing roads were biult for”. And learn how to spell, you are an adult aren’t you? I know you ride your bikey around town because you have the brain of a child, but come on you dork!

  • The Editor

“and alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.”

Why report things that are NOT a factor?

Was the weather NOT a factor?
Was the lighting NOT a factor?
    Was meth-amphetamine NOT a factor?

Geez, do you people ever READ what you write?

    • Roger

You are just mad because he, the motorist did nothing wrong. You wish with all your heart he was drunk so you and your gay buddies could continue your pro-bike witch hunt. Why don’t you invest in a vehicle and quit stalking children on your bicycle you loser!

  • Roger

Didn’t your mother teach you to keep your toys in the yard? All bicyclists are just asking for it. I laugh out loud, and it brightens up my day, everytime I see a story of a cyclist getting hit! It is just a great way to start my day!! By the way, those tights do not make you go faster, they just make you look like a dork.

  • Roger

“driving your car ” is “haserdous (hazardous) to your health.” ??
And riding your bikey in traffic is healthy? You are a child in an undersized man’s body.
