Target To Open New Store In Inver Grove Heights

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Target has announced plans to open a new store in Inver Grove Heights, Minn. in July of 2012.

According to a release, the store will hire 200 local area team members. It will be one of the 20 stores the company plans to open this year, including five new CityTarget locations.

The new store will be located at South Robert Trail and Highway 55.

Fresh produce, packaged meats and pre-packaged baked goods will be available in the new 135,000-square-foot store.

Target will hold job fairs about two months before the new store opens for the new positions.

Let me guess. 200 low-paying, part-time jobs with no benefits?

are you serious? Do you expect a cashier or the person that stocks the shelves to get $20 an hour? $9 an hour seems right. If you want to make more, then so some initiative

After working for Target for 10 years, as a team lead, I was only getting a little over $15 hr. The people under me were getting less than $9. It was a good place to work, but the pay is rubbish and they took so many benefits from the employees over the years.

Cannot wait for the new Target to open! It is not too far from my home and will shop there regularly. No Walmart for me anymore …
