MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A funeral service was held at New Hope Baptist Church in New Jersey on Saturday to honor the life of Whitney Houston, the famous singer who died last Saturday.

Houston was found dead in a hotel bathroom the night before the Grammy Awards.

Houston will always be known for her talents in front of the microphone, but also struggled with drug addiction relating to her marriage to Bobby Brown.

The guest list at the funeral included stars such as Elton John, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Cosby, Mariah Carey, Denzel Washington, Jay-Z, Beyonce and Brandy. Stevie Wonder sang a solo as did Jennifer Hudson.

Aretha Franklin was also scheduled to make an appearance, but was a late cancellation.
