BLUE EARTH, Minn. (WCCO) – Police have identified the man they arrested in connection with a deadly home invasion in Blue Earth. He is the husband of one of the three women injured in the attack.

The assault happened on early Monday morning on the 400 block of 4th Street East.

Police say a masked man, identified as 29-year-old Brian Freeman, entered the home and attacked residents inside.

Christopher Michael Fulmer, 37, of Blue Earth was killed after being bludgeoned by a tool, which investigators are still working to find.

Three women were also hurt in the incident — 38-year-old Candice Freeman and two daughters, 19-year-old Brittany Devary and an unnamed 15-year-old. A third daughter, age 6, was not injured in the attack.

Freeman is Candice Freeman’s husband.

Freeman has not yet been charged in the case, but was booked into the Faribault County Jail.
