DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Duluth’s J.T. Brown scored three minutes into overtime on Friday to give the Bulldogs a 4-3 Western collegiate Hockey Association win over Colorado College.
The fourth-ranked Bulldogs (21-7-5, 15-6-4) blew a three-goal lead before getting a lift from Brown to stay within striking distance of WCHA leader Minnesota in the race for the top seed in the WCHA playoffs.
Minnesota Duluth led 4-2 heading into the third period. Michael Boivin and Rylan Schwartz scored for Colorado College (16-13-2, 13-11-1) to send the game to overtime. The Tigers are 1-4-1 in their last six WCHA games.
Jack Connolly, Caleb Herbert and Justin Crandall gave Minnesota Duluth a 3-0 lead 15 minutes into the second period.
Travis Oleksuk has two assists to run his points streak to seven games.
Kenny Reiter made 22 saves for Minnesota Duluth and Josh Thorimbert had 37 for the Tigers.
