MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will be leaving a piece of his legacy at Sea Life Aquarium.

Love will have an octopus named after him at the Mall of America aquarium on Thursday — and he’ll even be present to release the eight-legged creature into its new tank and present him with a new (water-proof) basketball.

K-Love, the octopus, will join the team of 10,000 sea creatures at the Sea Life Aquarium. The octopus was chosen for Love because they both share “excellent grabbing abilities.”

K-Love and Love will both be present at a special ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
