North Mpls. Billboards To Aid Search For Toddler's Killer

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Several billboards have been erected in North Minneapolis to help find the killer of 3-year-old Terrell Mayes.

On Dec. 26, 2011, a stray bullet hit Mayes while he was inside his home. He died a day later.

Since the shooting, Minneapolis Police homicide investigators and other officers have been pursuing information and leads, but so far the killer remains at large.

The billboards are a result of a joint collaboration with Clear Channel Outdoor, Crime Stoppers and the Minneapolis Police Department. Five billboards will be displayed.

Crime Stopper's reward for the killer is currently up to $10,000.
