As the snow melts and slender blades of green grass begin to shoot up through the patches of remaining snow and small buds sprout on trees, a new season is slowly ushered in. Finally, spring is arriving. And in the Twin Cities, spring means runs; lots and lots of runs.

Perhaps you're a seasoned runner or maybe it's one of the items you listed on your 2012 New Year's Resolutions. Either way, here's your chance to find the perfect runs to start the spring off in the right direction. If you are just developing your running habit, an organized 5K is the perfect way to begin. Check out these fun, challenging runs; some even raise funds for and/or awareness to good causes, as well. So, start planning now; get registered and start running. If you plan it right, you could have a run every weekend of April. Check websites for sign-up fees and run specifics.
