Bachmann Owes $1 Million In Campaign Debt

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann owes more than $1 million from her unsuccessful bid to become the Republican presidential nominee.

Bachmann detailed her finances through late January in a federal campaign report filed this week. The report had been due Feb. 20.

She left the GOP race after finishing last in Iowa’s leadoff caucuses. She is running for a new term in Congress.

Half of the debt is owed to a fundraising consultant and her campaign manager is also due a large chunk.

    wow, so the democrats bankrupted Wisconsin, california, … and left the state of MN with a 6.2 billion dollar debt, but of course no one is bringing that up. This is HER debt, not a debt owed by the government. At least she took on the debt herself and is responsible for paying it off. As opposed to the democrats that spent our money and gave themselve special priviledge and then left us holding the empty purse with a big old I.O.U. in it.

      I never claimed the republicans are saints and I agree with everything you said. the difference is that the democrats have set the budgets for this state for the past 32 years, not the republicans. So, unless your memory is four decades old, you have no idea what he republicans have ever done. I agree with you though, thus my nuetral moniker, both parties SUX.

        Last year there was a GOP legislature.
        The budget process is on the states website, learn it as you do not know it With this check and balance system Consider who was governor for the last 20 years before the last no. No lefties
        Yes the democrats overspent the last year of Pawlwnty’s budget. You are also ignoring the fact that Pawlenty vetoed the tax increase to pay for it and thought he could simply unallot the money. The unallotment was deemed not within his powers.
        BYW, the only override of a Pawlenty veto in regards to money was on the gas tax.

    Hmmmm, what was Bushes deficit when he left office after coming in with a surplus, hmmmmm I think you have forgotten it was the Republicans that created the deficit to begin with, not to mention destroying the economy , involving us in costly wars while lying to the world. Bachmann pay your bills before you run for another office, we want to make sure you stand behind your moral and financial responsibilities.

    Michele you are TOO IMPORTANT TO PAY YOUR DEBTS! As if if you ever intended to! So ,why not let the other shoe drop on the taxpayers now! Rather than drawing it out!?? The long and short of it is that…..it won’t take a whole lot of praying to put this million $ debt on OUR TAB! Burn the witch at the stake,would have been yesterdays solution.Unfortunately we live and will soon die in an orgy of pain if the GOP wins presidency. Not that those REX 84 camps are so cheesy and rectal yet! But you haven’t been incarcerated in one yet either! If we end up in the same camp I want you now ! ,I will burn your candles,deprogram your black cat and cancel your credit card at Yankee Candle!
