Police Investigating Homicide In St. Paul

ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- Police are investigating after they found a 56-year-old man shot dead in the entryway of his St. Paul home.

Police say someone called for help from inside the home at 3 a.m. Friday. When officers arrived at the home, located on the 1000 block of Central Avenue, they found the body.

The shooting does not appear to be random, police said.

Police identified the victim Friday as 56-year-old Leonard Allen Christian of St. Paul. Police said his body was found inside the back of the residence.

Authorities are still investigating what might have led up to the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call St. Paul Police.
