Police: Man Found Dead After Shots Rang Out In N. Mpls

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police found a man dead on the sidewalk Monday night after getting a call of shots fired.

Sgt. Steven McCarty, of Minneapolis Police, said a call came in just after 8:30 p.m. saying gunshots rang out along the 3500 block of Fremont Avenue North.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. Paramedics pronounced him dead.

Police spoke with witnesses and they think there may have been three suspects who fled the scene, McCarty said. However, police have no descriptions of the shooter(s) and have made no arrests.

Police will continue to investigate.
