MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Timberwolves All-Star Kevin Love has been cleared to return to Minnesota, but it is uncertain when his concussion will allow him to return to the court.
Love was injured Wednesday night in Denver when he took an elbow to the head from JaVale McGee. Love remained in a Denver hospital overnight for observation and was cleared to return home Thursday.
Love was ruled out of the game Thursday night against the Clippers. The team says he will continue to be evaluated in the coming days to monitor his progress.
He is fourth in the NBA in scoring at 26 points per game, second in rebounding and second in minutes played.
After facing the Clippers, the Wolves next play at home against Oklahoma City on Saturday night.
