5 Arrested In Bemidji's Rash Of Burglaries

BEMIDJI, Minn. (WCCO) -- Five people have been arrested in connection with the recent plague of thefts, including a vehicle theft, and burglaries in Beltrami County and Bemidji, according to the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office.

On Thursday, authorities arrested Richard Allen Fowler, 49, and Kristy Jo Coyle, 23, both of Bemidji. In the last week and a half, investigators also arrested Joel Clarence Velisek, 46, John David Iverson, 32, and John Joseph Waslaski, 38, all of Bemidji.

The stolen property includes firearms, power tools, copper pipes, tools and a pick-up truck, which were recovered during the arrests and subsequent searches.

The Sheriff's Office says much of the property has already been sold. Anybody who has purchased items from these suspects is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 218-333-9111.
