EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (WCCO) – A semi-truck loaded with beer that was headed from Interstate 494 to Highway 212 rolled over Friday morning in Eden Prairie, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
There were no immediate reports of injuries related to the crash, although it caused significant traffic back-ups for the morning rush hour because it was on an on-ramp. Authorities said the driver of the semi was not hurt in the crash. The ramp from I-494 to westbound Highway 212 is closed while authorities clean up the beer mess and investigate the accident.
The truck was reportedly carrying about 50,000 pounds of beer. The driver has not been identified yet and it’s not known what company the driver worked for.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
