MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police say a woman was hospitalized Sunday night after a high-speed crash in downtown Minneapolis.

Authorities say the incident happened at about 7 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of 5th Avenue and 10th Street. Witnesses at the scene told police the driver crashed into a tree after flying off the road from northbound I-35W.

The woman was taken transported to a hospital for treatment, and there is no update on her condition at this time. The incident is under investigation at this time.
