MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A motorcyclist died Monday night after hitting a deer, then getting run over by two vehicles in northern Minnesota, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities say the accident happened at about 9:45 p.m. Monday on Highway 10 west of County Road 13 in Morrison County. The State Patrol said the motorcycle was heading westbound on Highway 10 when it hit a deer. The motorcyclist went down on the highway, and a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire and a 2005 Chevy Venture both then hit and killed the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevy Venture was not hurt, and the driver of the Pontiac Sunfire suffered minor injuries.
Authorities identified the victim Tuesday as 39-year-old Daniel Scepurek of Randall, Minn.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office.
