MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A man escaped a house fire uninjured in St. Louis Park Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

City officials say the fire started around 3:15 p.m. on the 6800 block of 23rd Street West. A neighbor called 911 and reported smoke coming from the house.

City firefighters knocked down the fire, although officials say it caused “significant damage” to the house’s southwest corner.

Crews from Edina, Golden Valley and the Hennepin County Medical Center also responded to the scene.

The fire’s cause is not yet known.
