BEMIDJI, Minn. (WCCO) — A 49-year-old Bemidji man has died after coming into contact with a power line while operating a boom lift, according to police.

On Thursday at 11 a.m., emergency crews responded to a medical emergency at Acme Tools, located on the 2000 block of 30th Street Northwest. The victim was transported to Sanford Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The man’s identity is being withheld until notification of family members.

Bemidji Police are investigating the incident.
