3 Escape Safely After House Catches Fire In Fridley

FRIDLEY, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities say at one adult and two children got out safely after a home caught fire in Fridley Friday morning.

Fire crews responded to the 7400 block of Able Street just after 9 a.m. When authorities arrived to the scene, there was a working fire in a duplex. Authorities said all three got out safely, and crews were also able to rescue and revive a small dog. The dog was taken to a nearby animal hospital for evaluation.

Authorities said the inside of the home was heavily damaged as a result of the fire. What caused the fire is still under investigation at this time. The Fridley Fire Department received mutual aid from the Columbia Heights and St. Anthony Fire Departments at the scene.
