SPOONER, Wis. (WCCO) – Six students were taken to the hospital after a school van was involved in a crash with a van near Spooner, Wis.

The crash happened on Green Valley Road near Highway 63 at about 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities said the van was entering the highway when it was struck by a pickup truck. The van is owned by Spooner Area Schools and was being driven by a teacher.

Authorities said all of the six students who were aboard were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

All have since been released from the hospital.

Neither of the two drivers was injured.

The crash is being investigated by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
