MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Think you can make a film from start to finish in only 48 hours? Filmmakers will get that chance when The 48 Hour Film Project comes to Minneapolis next weekend.

The project will tour nearly 125 cities worldwide this year. Filmmakers get only 48 hours to write, cast, film and edit a movie.

Each team registered will receive a movie genre, character, prop and line of dialogue that must be included in the film.

Teams will receive their assignment June 8 at Riverview Theater in Minneapolis. Films must be submitted by 7:30 p.m. June 10.

The Minneapolis films will be screened June 12-14 at Riverview Theater. The best film from Minneapolis gets a trophy and will be screened at the 48 Hour Film Project Filmapalooza in 2013.
