Fatal Head-On Crash Closes Road Near Owatonna
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash Saturday morning near Owatonna between a semi and a car.
According to the state patrol, the head-on crash took place on Highway 218 near mile marker 36 in Steele County.
The victim's name is currently unknown, but the driver of the semi has been identified as Del Mees, 52, of Dexter. He was left uninjured.
All lanes will be blocked, as the road is expected to be closed into the afternoon.
The names of those involved have not been released yet and the investigation is ongoing.
