MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Erin Hoeg had a busy Thursday.
The senior not only led her Blake girls lacrosse team to a state championship over Eden Prairie, winning 11-10 on Thursday afternoon, she didn’t have much time to celebrate.
For Hoeg was scheduled to give the commencement address at her high school graduation ceremony on Thursday evening.
“She went off this morning and went to practice,” said Erin’s mother Ellen. “I got a little emotional, but held it all together. Then she sent a text to the family and said how much she loves us, and how important it was that’d we’d be at all these important events. And needless to say I lost it.”
