Car Plunges Into St. Paul Lake, Injuries Unknown

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities say two men had to quickly ditch a car before it plunged into a St. Paul lake early Tuesday morning.

A witness at the scene called 911 about the incident at about 6:30 a.m. at Loeb Lake in St. Paul, which is near the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Dale Street.  The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office said two men quickly got out of the vehicle before it went into the lake.

The Ramsey County Water Patrol is at the scene using underwater camera equipment to see if there are any occupants still inside the vehicle. It's not known if there are any injuries related to the incident, which authorities said is still under investigation.
