MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. (WCCO) — A road worker was reportedly shot on Wednesday while in a construction zone.
State Patrol spokesman Lt. Eric Roeske said the road worker was in a closed lane of Highway 110 and Lexington Avenue in Mendota Heights at 9 a.m. when what appeared to be a bullet of some kind struck him in his back pocket where he kept his wallet.
Roeske said the road worker was then struck in the arm by another projectile, lodging itself underneath the victim’s skin.
The construction worker was taken to Fairview Southdale Medical Center for treatment, Roeske said.
