Authorities: Boat Falls On, Kills Person In Minnetrista

MINNETRISTA, Minn. (WCCO) -- A man is dead after a boat fell on top of him in Minnetrista Sunday evening, according to the Minnetrista Fire Department.

The incident occurred on County Road 44 and Pine Circle just before 8:30 p.m.

Authorities say the person was unhooking their boat when it started rolling down the driveway. He tried stopping it, but was crushed.

As of 10 p.m., the victim's body was still trapped underneath the boat. The identity of the victim has not been released.

There are medical crews and personnel from Minnetrista and St. Bonifacious on the scene.
