Police: 2 Arrested After Brief Chase In N. Mpls
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police arrested two men Thursday evening after a brief chase during which an officer fired a round, missing the target suspect.
Sgt. Stephen McCarty with the Minneapolis Police Department said the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. near the 700 block of Aldrich Avenue North. Officers on narcotics detail attempted to pull over a car; but the car drove off, and a brief chase ensued.
When the car stopped, two men got out and tried to run off. While running, one of the suspects displayed a gun, McCarty said. That display led one officer to fire a round, which missed the man he was shooing at.
Both men are in custody. Their names have not been released.
