APPLE VALLEY, Minn. (WCCO) — Eight juveniles and one adult have been charged in a fight that broke out in a June 1, 2012 graduation party in Apple Valley, according to the Dakota County Attorney’s Office.

Two 17-year-olds, two 16-year-olds and a 14-year-old were charged with disorderly conduct. One 17-year-old was charged with a petty disorderly conduct and one 15-year-old was charged with both fourth-degree assault and a disorderly conduct.

Emmanuel Lucious Riley, 18, of Apple Valley was also cited for disorderly conduct. Riley’s first appearance in court is scheduled for July 27, 2012 in Apple Valley.

“It is sad to see so many youth and young adults involved in a fight at a graduation celebration,” said Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom.

The case is being prosecuted by the Apple Valley City Attorney.

Under Minnesota law, the identities of the juveniles being prosecuted in this case are not public.
