MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Officials in Beltrami County are looking for volunteers to help with storm damage, as the area continues to deal with the aftermath of its early July storms.
The county is seeking adults who are willing to be available for volunteer jobs, such as answering phones, working at damage sites and assisting with clean up in residential yards.
Anyone who is interested should call 218-333-8395.
A storm tore through Bemidji and its surrounding areas on July 2, leaving massive damage and knocking out power to most of the area. The storm produced straight-line winds of 70 to 80 miles per hour. Other communities in its path included Grand Rapids and Itasca.
