LINO LAKES, Minn. (WCCO) – The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating after a three-vehicle crash with serious injuries in Lino Lakes Thursday afternoon.
The crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on Interstate 35W North, just north of Sunset Avenue.
According to the State Patrol, 49-year-old Michelle Nelson, of Chisago City, was driving a Chrysler 300 north on 35W and struck a GMC Yukon SUV that was stalled on the right shoulder. The Yukon then hit a Nissan Sentra that was heading north.
The passenger in the Yukon, 61-year-old Mary Slick, of Arden Hills, is in critical condition, authorities said. The Yukon’s driver, 62-year-old Brent Slick, suffered minor injuries.
Nelson, the 300’s driver, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The Sentra’s driver, 29-year-old Heidi Wermedal, of Forest Lake, suffered minor injuries.
