MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 24-year-old Minneapolis man was sentenced to 5 years in prison Monday for being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
Derrel Pruitt pleaded guilty to the felony charge in June, court documents show.
Minneapolis police arrested Pruitt late last year after an officer shot him following a struggle.
Pruitt was a suspect in many robberies, police said.
