WANAMINGO, Minn. (WCCO) – One person was killed and a child was critically injured after a head-on collision involving a semi truck in Goodhue County Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened on Highway 60 west of Wanamingo, Minn. at about 4:45 p.m.

According to the State Patrol, a Mercury Mountaineer vehicle was traveling east on the highway when it veered into the opposing lane, crashing with a semi truck.

The driver of the car — 36-year-old Michael Buck — was killed in the crash.

There were two children also in the vehicle. An 11-year-old was critically injured, and an 8-year-old received minor injuries.
