ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) – Police are investigating after a man robbed a hotel in St. Cloud at gunpoint.

According to the police report, the incident happened at the Hampton Inn & Suites on 37th Avenue North at about 2:30 p.m. Friday.

A man came into the lobby and showed the desk clerk a silver semi-automatic handgun before demanding money.

The suspect — who was described as a 6-foot-tall white male in his late 20s or early 30s, weighing approximately 250 to 270 pounds — escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was wearing a hoodie and a black ski mask.
