MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 61-year-old man from Park Falls, Wis., was died Monday after he hit a deer while riding his motorcycle Saturday night near Draper, Wis., according to the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded to the incident at about 8:06 p.m. on Highway 70 at Pelican Road. When authorities arrived, they learned that the man was driving eastbound on the highway when a deer ran out in front of him. He couldn’t avoid hitting the deer and suffered critical injuries in the crash.

The man died from his injuries on Monday. His name has not been released pending the notification of his family.
