KENORA, Ontario (AP) — Two Minnesotans have been seriously injured when their small plane crashed trying to take off in Canada.

Ontario Provincial Police were called about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday about a plane going down in the bush north of Kenora, Ontario.

Authorities say the Cessna 180 was trying to take off from a camp on Trout Lake when it crashed. The pilot — a 78-year-old man — and a 62-year-old woman were hurt. Another passenger, a 44-year-old man, was not injured.

All three are from Cloquet, Minn. The pilot is being transferred to a hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario, while the woman is being taken to Duluth, Minn.

The Transport Safety Board will investigate.
