ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings are filling out their stadium construction team.
The football franchise announced Thursday that it had hired Jim Cima as the senior project manager. He most recently oversaw an arena construction project for hockey’s New Jersey Devils and before that was involved in the Philadelphia Eagles stadium construction. He started his assignment with the Vikings on Wednesday.
The team also retained Minneapolis law firm Briggs and Morgan for legal issues surrounding the stadium project.
Minnesota lawmakers gave the go-ahead this spring to a $975 million stadium to be built on the site of the Metrodome in Minneapolis. It is expected to be ready for the 2016 season.
