MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said Thursday that two people have been arrested in connection with a series of thefts from boats on Lake Minnetonka.
Police said there have been at least 16 thefts from boats docked on Lake Minnetonka in the last week. The thefts have been from boats docked at marinas or at private residences. Authorities said the items stolen include alcohol, tools and electronics like radios and TVs.
Police said the thefts were in Tonka Bay, Orono, Mound and Spring Park.
Authorities did not release the identities of the suspects, but said they are two adult males. The case is still under investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office at (763) 525-6216.
