MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two pedestrians were hit by a car on 27th Street and Cedar Avenue South in Minneapolis on Saturday night.

The incident happened around 8:10 p.m. Both victims are in critical condition with head injuries, and are both likely to survive, Minneapolis police said. The car was going southbound on Cedar and the pedestrians were walking west on 27th when they were hit.

The pedestrians – who might have been intoxicated — were not in the crosswalk when the car hit them, police said.

The driver was sober, police said. However, it is not known if the driver was injured.

Police are still investigating.
