MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A $1,000 reward is being offered for information on the suspected murder of a 26-year-old woman in Minneapolis last month.

Minneapolis Police say officers found Adelaida Lane with gunshot wounds on July 14 after responding to a shooting at 1710 Glenwood Avenue North. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office deemed her death a homicide.

The suspect in the case is 23-year-old Giovanni Mario Dotts, police say. Police are seeking the public’s help in finding him. He is described as 5-feet, 10-inches-tall, with a medium build and black hair. He is pictured above.

Sgt. Stephen McCarty said Dotts and Lane had a relationship prior to her death.

If you see Dotts, or know where he is, call 911 immediately. Do not approach him, police say.

Minneapolis Police’s Homicide Unit is seeking further information on this case. If you know anything, call the Homicide Office at 612-673-2941. The case number is 12-218521.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 in cash rewards in this case. If you wish to give information anonymously, call 1-800-222-8477 or go to crimestoppersmn.org and click on Give a Tip.
