Forklift Falls, Badly Injures Worker In Lino Lakes

LINO LAKES, Minn. (WCCO) -- A worker in Lino Lakes was badly injured when a forklift fell on him Wednesday morning, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities received a call of an industrial accident at about 7:43 a.m. at Hillyard, Inc., a cleaning supply company, on the 200 block of Apollo Drive in Lino Lakes. When authorities arrived, a man in his thirties was pinned under a forklift.

Officials said the man suffered serious injuries to his arms and legs, but he was conscious at the scene.

Centennial Fire Chief Jerry Streich said the fire department used hydraulics to get the forklift off the man. The victim was badly hurt, was transported to the North Memorial Hospital and is likely in critical condition, according to Streich.

The victim has not yet been identified, and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
