BELTRAMI COUNTY, Minn. (WCCO) – A Beltrami County man who had been missing since Aug. 14 has been found dead of an apparent suicide.

According to Beltrami County Sheriff Phil Hodapp, 19-year-old Darren Chock was found dead on Saturday morning near the search area set up to find him on Tuesday, near Tenstrike.

A widespread search from a dozen-plus agencies was initially unsuccessful.

Funeral arrangements are pending with the Olson Schartz Funeral Home in Bemidji.
