Among The New Fair Foods... Walleye Rolls And Lamb Testicles

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – The gates opened for the first day of the Minnesota State Fair Thursday morning, and dozens of people were waiting in line to get in.

The opening day of the State Fair always seems to be one of the most entertaining, and this year is no different. There are as many as 40 new types of food on display at the "Great Minnesota Get-Together," and WCCO tried a few of them out.

Chris Stanford got his hands on a torta from Manny's, a pina colada and yes, even lamb testicles. He also tried a cranberry cream cheese won ton and a walleye roll.

Last year, sweet corn was a huge success and this year, the Blue Moon Dine-In Theater is serving new Cereal Killer soft serve ice cream. It comes in honey nut cheerio and coco puffs flavors.

Check out the videos below to see how all the taste testing went.
