MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say an explosion may have started a house fire in north Minneapolis early Thursday morning.

Fire crews responded to the fire on the 1900 block of Hillside Avenue North, which is near the area of Broadway and Penn, just before 4 a.m. When they arrived, they quickly started battling the blaze before it could get out of control. Authorities say the home was vacant and it appears nobody was injured in the incident.

Officials said they are looking into arson as a possible cause for the fire.
