BENTON COUNTY, Minn. (WCCO) – Two men died when their motorcycles collided head-on Thursday afternoon in central Minnesota, police say.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office said Patrick Ogg, 52, of Foley, died when he and Larry Sorenson, 61, of West Union, collided on Country Road 4.

Ogg was attempting to pass eastbound vehicles, police say, as Sorenson was on the westbound lane.

The two were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities say.

Benton County deputies were assisted at the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol, the Foley Police Department, the Foley Fire Department and the Benton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
