Twins Activate Walters From 60-Day DL
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Minnesota Twins activated right-hander P.J. Walters from the 60-day disabled list.
Walters went 2-2 with a 5.40 ERA in seven starts for the Twins before going on the disabled list June 14 with shoulder inflammation. He went 3-3 with a 4.01 ERA in 14 starts, including eight on a rehab assignment, with Triple-A Rochester.
The Twins also purchased the contract of right-hander Esmerling Vasquez from Rochester, and he is scheduled to start Sunday against the Kansas City Royals. Vasquez went 9-6 with a 2.78 ERA in 31 games, including eight starts, with Rochester.
