DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a driver found dead in a car that went into a pond at Water Works Park in Des Moines.

Police say 23-year-old Mang Chang, of Clive, died in the crash that happened Monday morning. An autopsy is pending.

A passer-by helped a passenger out of the partially submerged car. Police say 28-year-old Van To, of Des Moines, was taken to a hospital with a fractured arm and other injuries.

Police say Chang was driving through the park when his car hit a cement fixture off the roadway, then careened into the pond.
