MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police are investigating after a 31-year-old man went missing in Coon Rapids, Minn. in what they call a “suspicious” incident.
Alan Lyle Taylor was last seen by neighbors getting into a white Pontiac passenger car around noon on Aug. 25. At the time, he was wearing red shorts and no shirt. He left his car at his residence and didn’t appear to make any preparations for a prolonged trip away from home, according to neighbors.
The Coon Rapids Police Department and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are investigating Taylor’s disappearance. At this point, they say there hasn’t been any activity on Taylor’s cell phone and none of his credit cards have been used.
Taylor has been known to go fishing at the Three Rivers Park district near the Coon Rapids Dam. He had plans to begin school this week at Anoka Technical College and had made family plans for the holiday weekend.
Family and friends say his disappearance is troubling. They say he’s never just disappeared in the past and they are gravely concerned for his safety.
Anyone with information about Taylor’s whereabouts are asked to call the Coon Rapids Police or the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at (763) 427-1212.
